How can I view all of the details of a file, including the special characters. I want to see the /r's, /n's, and /t's in a file.

Can you elaborate on this question. Is it about file properties, foreign characters or encryption?

I want to view the code that is creating line breaks in a file.
Rather then just see..
This is line 1
This is line 2

I want to see...
This is line 1/r/n
/tThis is line 2
