Hi Everyone

We are looking at possibly putting a spam solution in. We are running exchange 5.5 so this is what we require:

-Spam solution that acts as a proxy and then forwards good mail to exchange smtp.
-Users must be able to train this by forwarding mails they consider to be spam to the server (training it)
-Notications must be sent to the user when mail is blocked. They must then be able to reply to have the mail released to them (i.e it must be stored on the server for 3 days or so)
-The rules created by the users must be "per user" although there should be a global bayesian filter.

Please note that it does not have to filter attachments or viruses as we already have a solution for this.

I have looked at DSPAM (This does everything we require, but it can only forward mail to a local mail server (i.e it doesnt proxy)

Any comments would be welcome.

Regards
Brendon

I'm sorry. I probably wasn't clear enough. I want to implement a linux solution. A spam proxy if you will. SpamAssasin can do this, but does not do everything I need. Please have a look at the link I have posted too. Thanks
Brendon

Forgive me...but I use Linux everyday and I also use RBL to blacklist everyone that tries to send e-mail to my Linux server, however if you already have a Windows server have you looked at this little GEM of a program?

It's called Mercury 32, it's FREE. It's a mail Proxy that you can do anything you want, you can even use it to RBL blacklist if you want. I have it installed in another network with only a Windows 2000 server and it works like a champ. Best of all it's FREE!
