Hi all,

Installing SP6a crashes the machine upon reboot.
NTLDR and such cannot be found anymore.

Out of 10 sp6a's there are 2 that crash the machine.
Is there anything that can be done to prevent this ?
Is there a way of rescueing the machine ?

What's the exact error message you get on reboot?

Have you tried running a repair of the boot sector?

Try putting that hard drive to another computer and running chkdsk and defrag to that corrupt system partition.
