Sp4 Installation error

hi,

while installing sp4 onto windows 2000 Advanced Server, an error occurs saying "unable to connect to metabase"
anybody please tell how can i get rid of this error.

Disable all your antivirus software, SQL, exchange, IIS.

i'm still getting the error
now i'm getting two errors :

"Unable to connect to metabase"
"Setup failed to remove ism.dll script mappings. service pack setup will abort"
