sp4 for sql server 1

Can somebody advise me on if I need to install sp4 for SQL Server? Is this patch only for 64 bit operation system?

SP4 is not just for 64 bit versions. It is usually advisable to keep up to date with service packs and patches - obviously test on a dev server before deploying on live etc..

the warning does not seem to address possibility of enabling AWE after SP4 installation.
I would like to know if any of you have tested this scenario? and what the results?
