I am thinking about upgrading our sql server 7.0 service pack from sp2 to sp3. Due to the fact that I'm getting the following error when I try to shrink my database
Could not adjust the space allocation for file 'PBDSS_dat'. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 3140) DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your system administrator. [SQLSTATE 01000] (Error 2528). The step failed.
And from what I read this error is suspose to be resolved with Sp3.
any suggestion hints on installing sp3 or things I should look out for. this is the first sp that I will be installing.
