I know this should be a straight forward task but I can't get it to work. I've used GPOs for other stuff(registry setting changes...local worstation file permissions, etc) but I cannot get it to work for the SP3 rollout.
I've extracted the files
Shared the directory (I've tried the recommended users with RX access and Admins with full access, and everyone with full access for troubleshooting)
Created the GPO with the Assign setting browsing to the update.msi (to make sure i get the path correct)
Given Authenticated users Full Permission to the GPO
When I turn on one of the machines in the OU I get the applying software settings...Installing SP3 message, but only for a few seconds. When I log in as a network admin no further action is taken and the SP is not installed.
According to all the instructions I've read I haven't missed anything...but obviously I have.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
