After the SP-2 install, I can not access things like Add/Remove Programs or Automatic Update in the Control Panel. No errors, just no reaction. I need to disable Automatic Updates. Help

You hope so? I don't know about you, but I like Aussies, and Kiwis also - I have several friends from down under (although I'm not big on Vegemite!). If they can avoid earthquakes and volcanoes, I think that's good (although there may be some crazy surfers on the Gold Coast who would want to try a tsunami!). Anyway, now linney's comment makes more sense to me - I didn't really understand what he meant due to my assumption, but it's clear now. Too bad we can't hear accents on a forum!

American humor, Japanese Humor and Australian humor. It is no wonder we confuse each other. Still our intentions are good and we are all part of the same Tek-Tips community.

If I had the ability to do Japanese humor, it really would get interesting, but alas, I am just a Yankee myself. Japanese people on a forum like this would be rare, as our complex language gives them fits!

Sometimes I think you and Bill actually live in the Tek-Tips community - you answer so many posts, it is amazing! I'm not so loyal - I don't normally come here until I have a question, I get my answer either by a search or by posting, then I browse the list for a couple hours to see if there are posts I can help with (usually without much success), and then go back to other work until the next time I need you guys. But you're always here - thanks!

Interesting reading...
But back to the first posted issue...
I'll re-install SP-2 and see what happens.
