Hello,

I have a computer running windows Me, the problem is it is detecting my soundblaster awe32 (ISA) as a Yamaha soundcard.
I have tried to find the drivers on the manufacturers website but they don't have it anymore.
Also, I have a similar problem with my diamond stealth 2500 graphics card, windows recognizes it as a standard PCI card and it only gives 16 colors in 640*400. I can't find th drivers for that card either.
I know this is an old config, but the reason is I wanted to put some old hardware to use for playing some old abandonware games.

I have an Intel motherboard with a 133Mhz CPU and 64 Mg RAM

thanks for any suggestions

You need drivers. Period. Doesn't matter if they aren't available from the vendor/manufacturer, you need to hunt them down.

1. Search driverguide.com, register, its free.
2. Search google

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

i downloaded the motherboard manual, it's an old intel. apparently it has onboard yamaha sound, that's what's getting detected. And there is no way to disable it in bios. So i guess i'm stuck with it.
