My CMI8330 adapter doesn't work. Since the driver hasn't come out for SB16 yet, I don't no what to do. It says that there is no driver in the device manager. I tried to get the win2000 driver, but it wouldn't open for some reason. I tried to change the IRQ to 7, so there wouldn't be a conflict, but there still wasn't a driver. I couldn't find a compatible one on the system. Please help. Where can i find a compatible driver? I have a SB16. I thnik its SB16 PCI, but i know that it's SB16.

Well Soundblaster, to my knowledge hasn't offered a driver for XP as of yet...they say end of november.....the XP driver didn't work at all??.... ***************

Yeah, the driver didn't work at all. Nothing comes out of the speakers. All i hear is the computer beeping when an error or something occurrs... yeah, creative says that soundblaster doesn't come out with a driver till late november or later. Is there any other driver or something i can use till then to get around it?

A generic Driver should do....??Have you gone through the motions of adding new hardware.........?? Just installing XP provided drivers...??

Other than that I would then try 98 or win 2000 drivers??

Let me know how it goes

Sorry can't offer any specific help!!

I tried to install new hardware, and all that stuff, but that doesn't work... I tried to get the win2000 driver, but after i downloaded it, for some reason it wouldn't open saying the whole thing hasn't downloaded. But the whole thing did download. I downloaded it again 5 times and the same thing. So that didn't work. As for generic driver, that was a no go. Thanks for your help anyway.
