Hi Everyone,

Please help me to figure this out as soon as possible. I have a sub form with its record source is table named "tblLoanProgram" that works fine, but I need to put sort by "ExpirationDate". For this reason, I change the record set of the sub form as:"SELECT * FROM tblLoanProgram ORDER BY ExpirationDate". It let me add a new record, but it doesn't show the new added record on the form. It appears the message "The data was added to the database but the data won't be displayed in the form because it doesn't satisfy the criteria in the underlying record source."

Thank you so much for your help in advance.

Hi:

I don't know of course, but your use of the asterisk (*) may be the culprit. Do you really need every field from tblLoanProgram? If so, then you will probably need to look at the properties of each field in the table until you find the one or more that have criteria that are not being satisfied, and change the criteria or your form.

Also, as a sub form is designed to be used with a one-to-many relationship between two tables, the offending field(s) may be in the one-sided table, and not even in the many-sided table (tblLoanProgram).

But I've never come across that error, so I may be confused. In any case, if this is helpful, so be it.

Hi gusbrunston,

I have also tried to select each field (not *) in the tblLoanProgram, but didn't help. By the way, I am using access project (.adp) for the front end.

Hi remikesmith!
I saw you thread about scrollbars, the answer was!

"Each page of a Multipage control has its own set of properties (separate from those of the Multipage as a whole). One of these is the ScrollBars property, which you can set to fmScrollBarsVertical, fmScrollBarsHorizontal, fmScrollBarsBoth or fmScrollBarsNone (select these from the dropdown in the Properties window). Therefore, you can set this just for the page where you have more controls than will fit while leaving the others with no scrollbars (the default for this property).""
I have the same prob, I have turned on the property for scrollbars, fmscrollbarVertical and the vertical scrollbar does appear on the form but does not work. I mean my form does not go up and down. could you help please.
thanks

Hi:

By the way, the error number you're getting is 30014.

Although you have written that the "tblLoanProgram" is the data source of your form, the error message suggests that it may be a query, because of the reference to the new data not meeting "criteria": criteria is very often entered in a query in QBE view.

Make sure that the data source for your form is or is not a query. If it is, then look at the criteria entered for each field until you find the one the new data doesn't meet. Gus Brunston [glasses] An old PICKer, using Access2000
