Hi,
This is my first time, please be gentle!!
1. Currently running Samba 2.2.1.1 on 4.3, is this level compatible with 5.1 ?
2. Is C compiler 5.0.1.0 compatible with 5.1 ?

Hi,

I currently use Samba 2.2.1a on Aix 5L without any trouble.

Don't have any information about C Compiler (only have GNU C 2.9 built for Aix 4.3 and make few use of it but it works)

I may be wrong, but looking at our old 4.3 box we are running C ver 5.0.1.0, if it's the same as the disk I have tried to load on AIX 5.1 then no, it isn't compatible with AIX 5.1.

We are running C ver 5.0.2.0 on our 5.1 boxes. IBM Certified Confused - MQSeries
