How do I remove/disable the game spider solitaire that came with windows XP pro.
Thx
Nick.

That or go to Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, Accessories and Utilities, then click on the Details button below, Select Games, and Again click on Details button below. And Un-check Spider Solitaire, and click o.k.

It Should then proceed to remove it.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Do you

1) just want to remove it from the system
2) not want people to use the program
3) not want to install it on new systems

You could remove read/execute permissions but that wouldn't stop someone who had it on a floppy playing with the game from the floppy. You'd have to look at executable signatures to stop that happening.

You can delete any or all of the games without impacting performance. Just go to the Windows file and find the corresponding .exe (sol.exe, etc) or right click on the shortcut icon and chose properties> find target. Delete target. Don't forget to follow up by deleting the shortcut icon.

It is truly addictive.
