There is a unix agent you can download
The same agent will work for both of your flavors.
I can suggest to not use passwords when configuring the agent. when prompted to enter the name of the media server..use the up address. Publish the root / folder
The linix box must be rebooted to start the agent or issue the command \etc\bkupexec\ ./agent.be &
cycle the services on the media server - wait about 30 seconds and you should se s Unix Agens Icon under remote selections
