solaris 8 upgrade tp solaris 9

Planning on upgrading from Solaris 8 to Solaris 9.

. Boot disk is mirrored (SDS)
. Have 35 metadevice (SDS)

I can unmirror the boot disk ONLY and do a regular upgrade
or leave the boot mirror intact and do a live upgrade.

My question is whether the regular or live upgrade willdisturb the existing 35 metadevices?
