software not sined numerically

i have a Lexmark printer model UDS1718+
when I install it fro the cd- rom wich contain the driver,
on win2000 prof and
win xp prof it give me a message in french
witch mean that the software not sined numerically(the driver not compatible with this version of windows)
any help will be appriciated.

That means that the driver has not been tested and approved by Microsoft. Generally speaking, as long as you have a driver created for the version of windows you should be alright.

However, if you're still uncertain go online and download the latest drivers available for this printer and attempt to load them.
