I would like to know what i need to install ocw10.msi using group policy. I got it to work but i copied the entire office xp cd to a shared folder on my server. i browsed to the ocw10.msi and selected it when creating a new package. I would like to know the step by step to set this up. More specifically what files are needed to publish or assign the office xp web components using gpo?

I think my FAQ should give you what you are looking for:

Thanks for the info. I hope that each workstation does not need to be refreshed to make gp take place. Also, I was looking for the minimum requirements to install only office xp web components. The .msi is ocw10.msi but there must be other files required for this install. As I had mentioned, I have this gp working at my domain at home by copying the whole office xp cd to a share point. Cheers.

You might need all of the files on the server, but only the coices yu have indicated will get installed and thus only the files needed.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.
