Hi all,

I'm having problems configuring SNMPv3 to my CISCO 160 router using IOS (tm) 1600 Software (C1600-SY-M), Version 12.2(1).

The problem is that i can specify security levels 'noauth' and 'auth' but not 'priv'. Has anybody experienced the same problem know the solution???????

I try firstly configuring the snmp groups:

>router_a(config)#snmp-server group netManGroup v3
>router_a(config)#snmp-server group netManGroup v3 ?
> auth group using the authNoPriv Security Level
> noauth group using the noAuthNoPriv Security Level

but as you can see i cannot specify 'priv' here too.

Can anybody shed any light???????

Thanks,

Carl.

Hello,

I have done a bit more research and noticed another point.

I can configure 'priv' for IOS 12.1 but not 12.2. I am now wondering if this has become defualt/obsolete ???

But, can't seem to find anything on the cisco website

Carl.
