Hi,
I have had a search through this forum for help on getting SNMP working but
haven't found anything that helps me.
I have just started monitoring servers using SNMP so didn't have the SNMP
service installed BEFORE SQL2000 went on any of my servers - I realise this
is the problem. I have got the sqlsnmp.dll file located in <sql>\bin\*.* but
when I goto SQL Network Utilities the SNMP Service isn't there for me to
enable or disable.
Can someone tell me how I can tell SQL about sqlsnmp.dll and therefore get
the SNMP service working with SQL (it is working fine for W2K).
Thanks.
Pete.
