I am currently working on creating some personalized cursive lettering for a webpage and I am using Illustrator's pen tool to do the writing. When I get a point on a letter that doesn't look quite smooth enough, I use the smudge tool to move the points together very minutely to fix the problem. The problem I am having with this and have been having in the past is the innability..so it seems....to resize the smudge tool so that I owuldn't have the finger of the jolly gree giant moving around all my other control points on the lettering. Any help here would be hot..thanx.

The Smudge Tool?

I know of know Smudge tool. There's a Smudge Stick but that's a filter, not a tool.

You should be using the Smooth Tool (behind the pencil in the tool box) to smooth out your paths.

Ok so I am a dumb ass...I meant the Warp tool. The one that looks like a finger. Thanx for the correction though
