Hi guys,

In my event viewer, System logs, I keep getting these warnings like this:

Message delivery to the remote domain 'hotmail.com.sg' failed for the following reason: The remote server did not respond to a connection attempt.

Message delivery to the remote domain 'netscape.com' failed for the following reason: The remote server did not respond to a connection attempt.

Message delivery to the remote domain 'hotamil.com' failed for the following reason: Unable to bind to the destination server in DNS.

The frequency is very high, every 5 secs, I would see repeated similar logs.

Can any one advise what is the cause of it and how to uproot the cause? Thanks.

Thank you Aslamvs for your prompt reply. However, I'm not running ISA Server. I'm just running Windows 2000 Server as a web server.

Please advise. Thanks.

Your problem is related to DNS

To resolve this problem:
1.On the desktop, right-click My Network Places.
Click Properties.
2.On the Advanced menu,
3.click Advanced Settings, and then change the binding order for the Internet IP to be higher than the Internal IP. This way, DNS queries find the correct network connection when they are trying to do lookups. Aslam

Hi Aslam,

I've got a new discovery...! This is actually due to some loggings which resulted from some mails which are still in the following folder locations:

The locations are:
1. C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Drop
2. C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Badmail
3. C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Mailbox
4. C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Pickup
5. C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue

I hope this posting would help everyone.

Regards,
libroos
Let's pray for world peace
