Has anybody already rolled out SMS for a corporate network
with appx 1000 clients so far.

Within my test environment it's seems to be pretty stable.

Any expirience with it ?

We upgraded from 1.2 to 2.0 about 3 weeks ago. Currently about 850 clients.

It's gone relatively smooth. We've had a few minor anomalies to work out, but nothing major. On about 25% of our servers the remote control is not working yet...a problem with getting rid of the 1.2 remote control agent. It's not a major issue, so we're working on it as we have time.

We're having a little problem with HP Vectras as clients, but we only have about 50 of those. It's a problem with the Vectras, not SMS.

All in all, SMS 2.0 does what it's supposed to. Hardware & software inventory, remote control, software distribution, queries, and Crystal Reports are all working fine.

As ALL of our clients are HP Vectra what exactly was the issue ? I saw the problem in the area with W95 but we only
got NT 4.0 running.

Hey guys can you help me out. I am being asked to install SMS 2.0 on our network of 100 plus workstations and I have never installed it before. I would like to install it on a Windows 2000 Server machine and all our workstations are running Win2k, is there anything I should look for? Are there any known problems of SMS working with Windows 2000 workstations? What would be the best way to implement this?

Hey all! Got a question here. I created a collection of machines that are running IE 6.0. From there I wanted to push a Q patch out to these machines. I ran into no problems until I noticed a discrepancy. My collection tallies 120 machines with IE 6.0 loaded, but the advertisement status shows that I am pushing to 171 machines. There are no errors, or failures, but I ended up with 50 extra machines, and none of them are duplicate pushes. Has anyone else encountered this? If you have an explanation, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
