Smile 2.3.4 and Windows 7 1

Hi all,

Has anyone been able to get Smile 2.3.x to run on a machine running Windows 7?

It installs fine and runs fine, right up to when it needs to dectect the Dongle on the Parallel port. Everything is connected fine, dongle is connected and the parallel port is installing and working but no detection.

The same Dongle works fine on a PC running Windows XP.

Tried running Smile in Windows XP 'Compatibility Mode' but no change.
Have tried changing IRQ and DMA settings to no avail.

Resolved!

Smile 2.3.x works fine with Windows 7, it's Windows 7 and whether it sees the parallel port which is the issue!

It is important to use the Sentinal driver from the Smile website to install in order to upgrade the parallel port driver.

Smile should then see the dongle ok.
