G3V6i.02.1.125.0 <-DCS-> G3V4i.07.0.077.1 (remote)

G3V6i.03.3.246.1 <-DCS-> G3V6i.03.3.246.2 (remote)

I have a couple of locations with DCS connected switches where the remote switch has extensions but no local trunks. Calls received at the switch with trunks routes the calls to the remote switch via UDP.

The problem is that calls routed to the remote switches do not generate SMDR records but calls delivered locally do. Is there a way to generate SMDR records locally (on the switch that receives the calls) for calls delivered to the DCS connected switch?

Thanks,
Mike Benedict

Are the trunk groups that are used for DCS marked for CDR? Rather than run the reports against the incoming TG, you may have to run it against the DCS TG.

Hi Kevin and thanks for the reply.

Yes, both DCS trunk groups are marked Y for CDR Reports.

I've monitored the RS-232 SMDR connection and as best as I can tell, no call records are generated for any of the calls routed via DCS. Seems odd to me as I would think they should be logged at the switch with the trunks but so far that doesn't seem to be the case.

Thanks,
Mike Beendict
