Hi all: I have an HP 2133 that I use when out of the office or traveling. The Bosses saw it and said "I want". I explained it had NO DVD drive and they all went "No Want".

Now I have to find a Small (mini, sub, etc.) Notebook with a DVD player. They want to buy 2 or 3 and want to have them with in the next few weeks (before their big travel season starts).
It needs to be close to the HP 2133 in size, I will be loading Office and some Anti-Virus, but nothing else, so it does not need a lot of power or HD space.

Any Ideas?

That's going to be tough. The Ultra Portable, Mini or Netbook style Laptops tend to forgo the optical drive for a sleeker, thinner, lighter laptop.

So you'll be hard pressed to find something that small that actually has an optical drive.

The Sony VAIO VGN-TX770P model is slightly bigger (11.1 inch screen vs the 9.8 of the HP mini note) but retains the optical drive.

The Averatec 1000 also has an internal optical drive, but is not as well equipped as the VAIO

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

So it has to have an internal DVD drive? I have an MSI Wind netbook that I've been traveling with for a couple of months, and it's perfect for something I can just throw in my briefcase and run with it. The only downside is the lack of a DVD, but I've never had to use a DVD drive to load applications or even a new OS (I can use the network of a flash drive). If you absolutely had to have a DVD there are plenty of USB DVD drives too.

Just a thought.

Tony,
simple, physical space. You have several inches of space used up, doing not a lot really. Than means you either make it thicker or wider.

OOPS...never mind...
