Problem 4 site's all with 3.2.53 software.

Tunnelling in the central with L2TP, with compression.

Tunnels stay up, but a lot of voippackets are dropped.

The connection stay's up, but you can't hear the other person and he doesn't hear you.

Main site SDSL wit a minimum of 128kbps.
Other site's ADSL.

Thx for your reply,

Yes, you would need the license for each site connected together.

If you want the hot desking from site to site you need the Adv networking license.

Lost packets is a network problem, do a monitor trace with all related filters enabled : VPN ( L2TP ), Interface ( packet in/out, queue, remote, packet size = 1500, broadcast, unicast ).
If possible connect a hub between ip office and xDSL, connect your pc onto the hub and run a packet sniffer like ethereal ( White Shark nowadays ).

Monitor the traffic on two sites simultanous and determine were the packets are lost : in IP Office? in the WAN? in the LAN?

If it is in IP Office escalate to Avaya, if it is in the WAN let the provider investigate or if it is in the LAN then check all hardwareconfigurations.

Say hi to Alexander

Minimum 128kbps isn't that much to send voice over.

What codec are you using and is there anything else going through that line? QoS?

No, the line's are only for voip.

G 729(a).

The three central's at the remote site's use only a maximum of 2 phone's.

But the problem also occurs when only one person is calling with one antother person at the remote site.

Even if there is almost no traffic, it doesn't work, and it is very strange because it worked for a week without problems.
