Slow w2k AS

oi,

i run Windows 2000 Advanced Server on a Petium III/700Mhz with 32Mb RAM, ever since i installed Active Directory and MS Exchange 2000 the PC is irritating slow.. is there any thing i can do to improve the performance without adding more memory ??

that 32mb isn't a typo is it? You absolutely need more memory. At least 256 mb worth, and that's conservative.

Is that machine also the PDC or just running exchange?

it's both actually... i don't really need the PDC but i didn't have a choice since Exchange won't install unless you are on a domain.. i would rather just be a workgroup with 4-5 pc's.. ahwell.

How many licenses do you have? do you have MSMQ loaded?
