My office has Netware 6 (patched) and 8 Windows 2000 workstations (6 desktop and 2 laptop's) using Novell's client. The problem is that even though all 6 desktop's are identical in hardware, software, and registry configuration, 3 of the stations perform at record speed but the other 3 identical ones run slow. A file that takes 10 minutes to just copy on the fast ones will take 40 on the other ones. I have the same issue with the laptops. One copies a file from the server fast and the other laptop takes much longer.
I thought it was application related at first but just pure file copy is slow. Did not see this problem with Novell 4.12.
