slow login and company change 1

I have a workstation that has an extremely slow login and change of company. Any ideas why? All others seem to be fine.

check your odbc connection is using tcp-ip and not named pipes.

check to see if your computer is resolving via broadcast or via dns

analyse for spyware as listed above

check for unnecessary communication protocols such as ipx/spx, netbeui, appletalk etc

ensure service pack and dex levels are consistant with the rest of the network clients

upgrade if necessary to 100baseT if you're on 10baseT

slow login is usually due to network communication problems.
