Slow Log in 1

Hi,

This may sound like a simple question so bare with me....

I'm running Win2K, but my PC takes an age to log in with all the processes that are happening. I've never used Win2K before so can someone please tell me how I can view what is actually happening when I log in, so I can cancel any unnecessary processes...

You can use the XP version of msconfig:-

Or there are a number of other freeware apps - I like this one:-

or...

you can use regedit

Start > Run > Regedit > HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > RUN


There you will find items that will start up
