I have a w2k server with an intranet site that most people are experiencing poor performance. Some people that do not logon to the domain and have mapped drives to the folder that contains the site, do not experience performance problems, but domain users do. I cannot find an explanation for this. Please help.

The site was created with FrontPage 2002 and has many hyperlinks to files.

I replicate the file system between 5 locations, all running w2k server.

This problem only started two weeks ago, after many months of good performance.

To reiterate though, some people have good performance, while others don't.

Thanks,

/m

Kind of off the wall but i would check to make sure all your subnets are setup properly in Site & Subnets. When users logon they use those settings to find the nearest domain controller. It could be that they are authenticating to another site and trying to access the intranet in the wrong site.

Problem solved. Not all of the servers in the replica had the same level of service packs. Making them all the same resolved the problem.
