Has anyone seen very slow ftp performance when trying to move data from a lower security zone to a higher one??

Are you using the IDENT protocol? If so, use configure the "service resetinbound" command.

Also, verify that there is a reverse DNS entry for the ftp server. Hope this helps!

I've seen this. Hard-coding the NIC settings for speed and duplex helped.

Thanks for the input.

I already check service reset inbound, revers dns, and have everthing set to 100/full

I continue to have the same problem when moving data from my DMZ to the inside net.

Anymore ideas..

gbiello was right ! I went and double check NIC settings the firewall, FTP server and workstations were all 100/full but the switch port was not. Once I changed the swith port from auto to 100/full everything worked.

thanks for the advice.
