Hi !
My Comp config : PIII , 128 MB RAM , 20 GB HDD.4 yrs old. WIN98SE.
I connect to the internet thru phone - dial up - using HSP56 internal dial up. Over 95% of the time I dial my ISP,i get connected at 52000 bps.
Of late,I seem to get connected only at 31200 bps. This clearly has a impact on what speed the data transfer occurs - its very slow.I have tried it with 2 ISP's and i get connected only at 31200bps.
I have the maximum speed to connect as 115200 in the modem settings. (It was that way before and still is )
I have tried connecting at various different times of the day and no matter what it connects at 31200 bps.
I understand that the ISPs can influence the spped at which I connect. But then.I did not have any sustained problem like this all these years. So i believe the problem I have is wrt my computer ?
Any solution for me to get connected @ 52000 bps like before?
Thanks.
