Slipstreaming SP4

I'm obviously not one of the cognescenti. What is slipstreaming please?

I have looked at the instructions described in the above web site and have a feeling that a Win2000 installation disk is being put together which includes SP4. Is that correct?

Correct.

You may slipstream service packs (W2K_SP4.exe -s:<installation path>)

I think it's a complicated word to say : "Copy the service pack on top of your original setup files"

Warning: Do not do this on your RIS Installation path!

If you have your Windows 2000 Setup CD available on the network, you can slipstream the Service Pack 4 onto it and from there on, all installation from that network path will automatically boot up with service pack 4.

"In space, nobody can hear you click..."

Thanks for the explanation ReddLefty. I'll stick with the simple method I invariably use.
