We are (still) installing an OPT61c succ 3.0 which will be a remote off of our SL-100. It was brought to my attention yesterday that in the case of emergency this 61 will not be able to handle outgoing calls from my SL-100. (calls originating from my SL-100 and needing to get to the world) Is this true?? Can the translations of the 61 be dumbied to think that calls from my PRI's to the 61 are originating off of the 61??

TIA
Pete

you can make the 61 as transparant as you need to. if you build a small route, in the 61, have the provider display the desired dn on that route, then direct 911 type calls from the 100 to the 61 and out that route, it works.. if the provider will he can also show the actual did of any stations on either switch reguardless of the path.. i maintain (on site) an 81, some of the phones (clid 0) show the published number.. others show the dept dn others show the did.. i have opt 11's that can use my pris and send there clid... not a lot of trick to it, if the provider allows that did it works. if they had a name for that did in the ss7 table, names would work.. we do not maintain a name data base with the provider due to hourly changes

John,

Let me make myself more clear. 911 is not an issue since it does not leave my SL-100. We have a whole 10,000 block from Qwest (i.e 783-0000 to 783-9999) We have taken the 8-9000 range and given those number to our 61. We will be tied to the 61 via 3 PRI trunks. We want to use the 61 sort of a back door in case of an emergency (it will have 2 PRI's from Qwest also) and my SL-100's main feed is cut, we want to be able to dial local number (ie 800#'s and nxx-xxxx) from the Sl-100 routed through the 61 and out. Does this explain it better??
