Hi,

Don't know why this should happen, but I was wanting to go to skynews.com yesterday and ended up with the splash screen for my local apache webserver.

When I ping skynews.com I get a response from 127.0.0.1.

I am on windowsxp and apache is not running always(just a test server). I have looked in hosts and nothing there and also in my apache conf file but can't find any trace of the domain on my machine.

Any ideas?

Richard

The nameservers for skynews.com are returning 127.0.0.1, this is not an issue with your machine.

Hope this helps

The name servers are returning the loopback address as the domain address.

Thanks Simon,

I realised that skynews.com wasn't the sky news webpage. Just thought it was weird that it was resolving to the loopback.
