Hi,

usually I have no problem with this, so wondering what's up in this particular case. I have a row I inserted beneath another. Try as I might, I cannot size one cell that lies beneath another independently.

Ex.

A B

usually I'll insert a row and have 4 cells

A B
C D

Usually I can then make C any size I want regardless of A. Right now, however, C is refusing to be sized without A being sized as well. I have only the cell selected, not the column (of course :P

Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks!

That's now how it works. If these are in the same block, they cannot be sized independently.

You can use the alignment options for "Wrap" and "Row-by-Row Autofit".

really? usually I have no problem sizing those cells independent of each other. the best examples of this are usually doing what I'm attempting to do now, which is fit a number of columns into a single page by doubling them up in terms of rows. So one record coming from the database is displayed in two or even three or four rows...

Standalone cells can be sized anyway you want. Block headers and footers can be sized.

You have never had the option to size block rows independently.
