We have six PCs with PCPlus 4.8 Each person needs access to 30 dialup systems. I know how to share the dialing directory, but I want to share setings (7E1, EC, 1200bps here, 9600bps there, etc)
We all use Sportster Externals on COM1, but the modem models vary…I think if I just pick the same driver file, such as “USR 28,800” I might be able to make a “model” that includes everything in the dialing directory and the modem/comm. settings and then push PW5.dir and PW5.ext nto the root of the Procomm directory of each PC. (I know I can also push the toolbars and meta keys, but the “comm. Settings are my real concern)
1) Is there an easier or more logical way, and
2) will it work as far and anyone can guess?
