Hi,
I am trying to create a site to site VPN using Sonicwall SOHO25. Both my sites are cable modem that allocates dynamic IP to my firewall.
Sonicwall requires that either one or both of the sites to have static IP. However, I read a Sonicwall article that this problem can be overcome be using Dynamic Dns (e.g. dyndns.org).
What I don't understand is how to provide hostname to dynamic IP mapping for my firewall? Dynamic DNS works by installing a small app (e.g. DeeEnEs) on your web or ftp server (usually runs a service) that monitors for any change. When the IP changes, it will update DynDns.org with the new IP. But, how can this be done for a firewall?
Thanks in advance.

The DynsSite client will detect the WAN address and transfer that to their server.
However, since both of them are dynamic, as soon as the 'host' changes, your VPN will be lost, just keep that in mind.
