Hi,
Have you looked at the actual RE/MAX home page? It's not perfect, but it has a few things going for it which I feel are missing from your site. My two cents:
Colors:
Re/Max have very strict corporate guidelines which dictate how they should be presented visually. The predominance of red, white & blue in their own site enhances that image, whereas introducing that baby blue & yellow diminishes it somewhat. Also, the gray background for the text looks very dated.
Images:
Re/Max have a few approved versions of their logo, but that doesn't mean you should try to use all of them on the one page. Again, I would look at their own page for inspiration. They use the word 'Re/Max' as their main logo, and the page looks stronger for it. I think that the more complex logos with the balloons really need a bit more room for them to work properly.
I would also reiterate what DeZiner said about anti-aliasing. For the main title, I presume that you wanted to use transparency so that the background underneath could be resized with the browser. It's quite clever, technically, but visually it's a bit off. Maybe try to put it on a simpler background so that you can avoid having to use transparency. This should make anti-aliasing a little easier.
Fonts
In print, serif and script fonts can look really well, but on screen.... I don't know. They're a bit hard to read and look a bit amateur.
Status Bar
Just be aware that some people find text in the status bar annoying. It doesn't particularly bother me, but it's nice to be able to hover the mouse over a link and know where you will be taken too. If you MUST put your own text down there, at least check the spelling. Real Estate is two words, Really has two l's, Professional has one f. Spelling isn't my strong point either, but it can be embarrassing (is that spelt right?!) to have your client point it out to you.
Hope that was brutal & frank enough! Just remember, it's only my opinion, so feel free to disagree!
