I was looking for a free place online to put my web page and add a message board. I found this site called bravenet.com that had alot of what I was looking for, and it was free. Does anyone know if there is some catch involved with this. I really want to get my site running, but I don't have the extra cash to buy space, help.

Always read the full terms and conditions (and focus on the privacy policy) of any host that offers to host your site for free. Actually, you ought to do this for any company you are entering into a contract (like hosting) with.

Free sites, Bravenet included, generally cover their costs by adding adverts to your pages. They also tend to offer a very basic hosting service, without useful features like a cgi-bin or SSI. If that's not a problem for you - and it may not be - then go for it. You've nothing to lose after all.

Do take a look at paid hosting though, there are some very cheap deals out there if you shop around.
