Hi all :)

I was a bit busy these days getting the new vrsion of my site up and running. Please have a look at

I tried to integrate my forum ( ) in my site design/layout and added a few fancy pictures.

Since I have no access to a windows-machine right now, could anyone have alook at my site via IE 4.x - 6.x?

Thank you all, Sascha cu, Sascha

Hi,

The site looks very professional and easy to use (well sort of, if I could understand what it said LOL)

Anyway I have 3 things you may want to look at:

1 - Diese Seite weiterempfehlen (that pops up a new window, I would have it postioned more to the left side of the screen)

2 - Diese Seite bewerten (that opens a new window, but I would make it the same as the other popup that has a specified size and is non-resizable

3 - Druckversion dieser Seite/Diese Seite im Palm-Format (I would make that the same as suggestion # 2 above, specified size and non-resizable, and why does it say this at the top of the page: "URL:
Other than that, the site looks good. I viewed it with MSIE-6.0 at both 1024*768 and 800*600 screen resolutions.

Hope this helps! NATE

Thank you SPYDERIX! That was a) fast and b) good!

You are right with what you say about the frist two pop-ups. I'll fix that. But "Diese Seite ausdrucken" means "Pint this page". That's why I show the exat URl of that page and have it shown in a usual window. cu, Sascha

Tag! (again i think)

Looks good, couple of thoughts::

- maybe change the colour of the headings to navy or something, might looks nicer than black.

- Under the column In den Foren,
i had to look twice because I was wondering what the "42" was doing there until I realised it was a header like the ones below it. Mybe to these headings you could add a bullet or something or maybe make them a different colour.

Apart from that it's pretty good!! :)

Hi Sascha,

here is some comment

1) I always recommend to show links to other sites(like the W3C-validations etc.) in a new browser with <a href=&quot;blabla&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; .....>. Because users now will lose the focus from your site.

2) I see a <style> in the <head> of every page. Put this in a style sheet <LINK REL=&quot;STYLESHEET&quot; TYPE=&quot;text/css&quot; HREF=&quot;YourStyleSheet.css&quot;> instead of sending the same data with every page. It saves time for the users.

3)On the pages &quot;Beratung&quot;, &quot;Buch- & Softwaretipps&quot;, &quot;Specials&quot;, &quot;Kontakt&quot; etc. the font size could be smaller like you did on the index-page (itst.org). So users have to scroll less.

I checked your site in IE4 and IE 5.5 awith screen resolutions 1024*768 and 800*600. That looks fine.

Overal I think it's a great site,

Hope this helps,
Erik

@cian:

Guten Tag :) Thank you for your comment. I grabed your idea and changed the color of headings. Looks smoother (at least for me). Regarding the forum-titles: I will try to change that to another heading-type, perhaps h3 or so... I'll play aropund with that.
Thank you, cian, auf Wiedersehen :)

@boomerang:
1) Oops, my fault. I just forgot that. Will fix!
2) Hmm, yes, you are right... I'm wondering why I did that... before I had a seperate .css-file... There must have been a reason why I put that away... Confusing... ;-)
3) I do not use any font size things on any page exept the start page (for the main content). This is a feature, not a bug :) I did so, because that way people may resize the text like they want. It is displayed as they set up in their browsers.
Thank you, too, Boomerang.

cu, Sascha

Hi mate,

Just a few small comments..

1) The text next to the picture of the Perl book would look a lot better with a little spacing..

2) This one is a personal preference but I think that &quot;Home Page&quot;, (translated of course) would look better than &quot;itst.org&quot;. When I see a link like that on a page, I assume that it is to a seperate site. You are much better not using url's in the names of links, it just adds confusion.

Other than that, looks good!!

Hope this helps Wullie
