I am setting up Level 3 SIP Trunks on an IP Office Rls 8.1. I have my test config setup and am able to make inbound and outbound calls. For test purposes, I have a 9N; User Short Code setup to push calls out over the SIP Trunks. I put one of the SIP DIDs on the User's SIP Tab for SIP Name and Contact. I am ready to move on from the testing phase. The customer has 35 SIP Trunks (even though the IP Office only has 20 SIP Channel Licenses) and 60 DIDS. The customer only plans to deploy a handful of DIDs at this time. The customer would like all incoming and outgoing calls to route over the SIP Trunks. I was planning to have the shortcode 9N point to the 50:Main ARS. I am planning to add the 9N; short code in the ARS table with the Level 3 IP Address in the Telephone Number field. Should I program a separate SIP DID in each of the user's SIP tabs for name and contact? Should I program just the main number SIP DID in each of the user's SIP tabs for name and contact? Is there a way to make one entry in the SIP URI section of the SIP Lines so that all calls in and out will get tagged the same way?

I have an additional question: my carrier is telling me I have one trunk with 35 call paths. Does that mean I should setup just one trunk line in the IP Office? Where do I provision the 35 call paths?

it means 35 channels configured on the SIP uri.
