See Below, I was given this at Mitel in Caldicott in Wales, worked a treat for me.

Obviously you need to do this on both boxes.

Sip Trunks Mitel to Mitel

1.
Network Elements Form
Create new element,
Type is Other
Name (remote site)
Ip Adrress of remote site
Tick sip peer box, this opens more options
Sip Transport UDP
Sip Peer port 5060

2.
Trunk Attributes Form (Trunk Service Number)
Change spare trunk service and add name Sip Trunks.
incoming digit modification – absorb 0 if required.

3.
Sip Peer Profile Form
Add new profile
Enter name
Click Ip address local site (local 3300)
Set Max simultaneous call (number of trunks)
Enter new Tk service number (From 2. above)
Change session timer to 0, (last entry on form)
Leave all other settings as default.

4.
ARS routes
Change spare route,
Routing medium to Sip Trunk
Change Sip peer profile to new one created (3. above)
Change digit mod to required (do nothing in our case, check entries in (Dig Mod Table)).
Digits before outpulsing, modify to digit length.

5.
ARS Digit Dialled
Add digits
Add Digits to Follow
Term Type is Route
Termination Number is the route configured in ARS (4. above)

Forgot to mention...

Once you've created the Network Elements, Trunk Service Assignment and SIP Peer Profiles on both boxes, ensure that the SIP Peer Status is set to autodetect. If all your configuration is ok the Link should establish, only move onto the ARS programming if the link is established.

You should have no alarms and you can check the the Sip Link has establised in the maintenance commands, SIP LINK STATE ALL...

You can also look in the Maintenance logs for help if required.

Once your link is up then move onto programming the ARS, otherwise you could get confused if things dont work..

Great timing steveycarr, coincidently, I will be doing this later today. If I find anything missing in your description, I'll let everyone know.

Confirming that this works

In my case, I needed DID's that terminated on system 1 to be presented to System 2 and engage the DID translation table

I created ARS digits for steering the call to system 2 e.g. 9**002 followed by 10 digits

The DID translation table on system 1 had a termination point of 9**002+ 10 Digits

My Digit Mod before sending to the remote system stripped the steering digits and sent 10 digits

Worked like a charm.
