I have been trying all possible settings to get this to work and I just going in circles.

I have setup a SIP trunk with my ITSP and it works fine. I have the LAN2 port connected directly to WAN using a public IP address. It works flawlessly. However, I do not want to connect it directly to WAN with out it going through a firewall.

The firewall I am using is a Sonicwall TZ210, however, I am not able to make it work. I know I am just missing one or two settings. Can someone please share with me the settings they used to allow the IP Office to use the SIP trunk through a Sonicwall. As well, what changes I would need to make on the IP Office or the Sonicwall. I am currently running IPO 6.1(22) and Sonicwall Firmware 5.8.1.8-57.

Should I use the Transparent Mode on the Sonicwall and limit the IP address that the ITSP is giving me for their SIP server.

Thanks in advance.

You better go to the sonicwall forum as SIP trunking is the same for any telecom system.
In IP Office you need a IP Route to your ITSP providers ip address and use the sonicwall as the router.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

Turn off SIP helper. Had an install today that had helper blocking it.
I find it helps the Avaya in the same way fax machines will help you by printing the other pages of the fax on the last two inches of the orginal page when it runs out of paper.

Check your ports 5060 and your RTP ports.

Where does a trace route to SIP ITSP get you?
