Hi there. Here the case.
I have two IPO 500v2, both running 6.1.
They are in site A and site B. They both have their LAN2 connected directly to Internet, with public IP address.
I want to link them with a SIP Trunk.
I can ping from one to the other with good delay responses.
But I cannot make them connect the SIP Trunks.
In the SIP Trunk I fill both ITSP Domain Name and ITSP Proxy Address with the public IP address of the remote site, but looking at System Status I see ¨Resolved Address: 0.0.0.0¨
Do I have to use a DNS server to resolve the Domain Name?
I don't want to use a Domain Name, I just want to fill the IP Adresses.
I tried upgrading from 6.1.12 to 6.1.22, same results.
I tried populating one of the fields, or the other, or both, same results.
Any body been through this?

You want a SIP trunk between them? Peer to Peer?
It can only be done without authentication but if both systems have a public ip address and a unsecure SIP trunk then you create a hughe security risk.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Intrigrant is right.
I once connected an IP500V2 on the internet to test something and i happened to have monitor open.
I saw a "friendly SIP scanner" coming by.
I googled it and it was not that friendly!!!!
When they find a PBX then they will try to break in and do some toll fraud.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
