Having an issue with Outgoing calls over SIP trunks. Incoming works fine, but outgoing calls are disconnecting after 15 seconds. Monitor logs show that the Carrier is sending a disconnect message to the IPO terminating the call. Informed the carrier of this and they said that they do not support 100REL, and that I need to shut it off... Never heard of this setting before, and can't find any mention of it in IPO Manager. My monitor logs do show "Supported: 100REL, resource-priority". Anyone ever have a similar issue, or know anything about 100REL???

Are you using R8? 100REL and PRACK aren't implemented until R8. Or so I thought.

Interesting... I'm running R7. If that is the case, then that would probably explain the issue. I just pulled the R8 product update, and it does say the following.

"Early Media and Support for PRACK: SIP trunks can be configured to support early media by adding “100rel to Supported” header in the INVITE: This allows support for in-band announcements such as: branding from discount or bulk long distance providers; caller comfort in terms of progress indications when extraordinary wait times are inherent in the call scenario, for instance when trying to locate a cell phone; as well as, the ability to provide country specific ring back and other progress tones. This feature also facilitates the ability to set up conferences in the IP domain before call answer, for instance, in certain call recording scenarios or for automatic dialers’ conferencing in agents."

I'm trying to find out if the carrier has every integrated to IPO before... Can't imagine this is the first time the have ever intergrated to IPO with SIP trunks.

So this is what the carrier came back with...

"Our Softswitch sent the SDP and keeps on sending the 200 Okay because it is waiting to get an ACK from your PBX. It does this for a while and then drops the call because it thinks the call never completed"

Anyone have any ideas? Is their a setting in the IPO that I am missing. I've only done a few SIP trunk installs, and every other time I follwed application notes and it all worked...
