Just need a little help with IPO shortcodes and if someone can see where I'm going wrong...

just playing with a SIP-PRI converter with the converter sitting between SIP provider and IPO (there is a reason for not connecting SIP trunks direct to IPO)

Have the gateway registered to SIP provider no problem, also connected via PRI link to IP 500 with link lights established. Inbound calls route through the converter, into IPO and ring on a phone plugged into the IP500 no problem however outbound from same phone IPO allows a call out but it doesn't route through correctly and just hangs on identifying the route isn't an internal call - this is through standard short code ? . dial 0

something simple? :)

Maybe you must send the calls en-bloc to the ATA, what brand do you have?

I also suspect shortcodes, try SC - 0XXXXXXXXXX , Feat - Dial , Tel no - . , line gp whatever and ring your mobile to test :)

amriddle worked a treat, may have also been a few tweaks on the gateway but cooking on gas now take a *

I'd love to know the reason for not configuring the SIP on the IPO
I haven't heard a "good" one yet.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

AMRiddle's suggestion is en-bloc dialling as I suggested, with that shortcode you can only dial 11 digits numbers starting wit a 0.
With the shortcode 0N;/./Dial/line group ID you can have variable number lengths.

I wasn't finished with posting, that was to prove a point, I would have expanded further after confirmation. There are better ways to do it than 0N; in ARS so it dials faster and adds local area code etc :)

The 0N; is easier and I am lazy by nature.....;)
It fully depends on the locale a user is at so for Belgium ( my working area ) it is easy all national fixed line numbers are 9 digits and mobile numbers are 10 digits, dial without access code and mobile numbers always start with 04.
In the Netherlands all numbers are 10 digits but there are local number areas, and within a area the local numbers are 6 or 7 digits long, dialling with accesscode is mandatory, usually a 0.
Maybe someone here could make a Wiki for all countries ARS programming.... not me, I am to lazy...
