If I have a CS1000 system and should connect a SIP phone, what do I have to do in the system?

What is the phone? does it have a TN or is it a CDP steering code?

The CS1000 system is already SIP configurerd in the sig server and NRS.

I am interested in CS1000 configuration for the SIP extension and NRS configuration for the SIP phone.

Thanx..

If you find your answer please post.

did you buy sip licences?

which sip phones are you using?

Thanks, Trevor

This is just a general question for any kind of SIP phones.
We have tried some phones and registred them on the NRS, but it didnt work very well..

You should check the vendor list in the NRS.

If the Vendor of your SIP phone is not in de list you can add him with the following command in de vxshell:

spRegVendorAdd "vendor_name"

The vendor name should be in the log if it fails to register.

Goodluck!
Jacco.

There is a patch for the sigserver to eliminate vendor checking. That is not the problem.

I need to know wich parts of configuration needs to be done on the CS system and the NRS.
Not in detail, just an overview.

The sets are registred but not able to make calls.

Can you give me the patch number for eliminate vendor checking into the Signaling Server.

Javier

About the sip phones, I see that we don´t need configurate one TN for the SIP Phone. The call routing is make for the NRS. I can see trought sniffer that the phone send INVUTE message to NRS and NRS reply but I can´t complete the call between SIP phone and any phone configurated in the CS1000.
I will try to change any parameters in the configuration.
