We tried to move to a Unregistered SIP Trunk connection form a Registered connection.

Outbound we had some issues and had to revert back to Registered connections, the Provider is looking into it.

On the Inbound Connections, we defined a Separate SIP Line. The ITSP Proxy Address was a DNS Entry. The DNS Entry resolved to 6 Difference IP address for the 6 Different Datacenter's that the SIP Provider has. When receiving Calls, We were not be able to receive calls from SOME of the 6 Servers. Reboot the IPO and the Calls that come through are on a Different set of servers. Its like it only ever took 4 of the 6 IP addresses that the ITSP DNS Name Resolved to and the 2 other servers didn't make the cut.

I know you can only enter 4 IP Addresses manually, if the DNS Name entered resolved to more than 4 Addresses, does it toss the other Address about the 4 IP Address Limit?

Our Work Around was to Create another SIP Line and just put 4 ITSP Proxy Addresses in one, and 2 addresses in the other. With that setup we were able to consistently receive calls from any of the 6 servers.

Thanks!

Yes you need to have two trunks because of the limit of four DNS entries.
But unregistered should work fine too, we do it all the time.
